Now, it has been rumoured that this has increased performance for some people, with games such as Crysis. Whether this is true or not though I cannot be 100% sure until I have done my own testing. From what I have read it really should not be giving such massive improvements in Crysis or any other game, but because it has been rumoured to improve performance for a select few people it may work for you.
Whether it works or not, its a valid update to your existing DirectX anyway.
